Day 01
December 11,2024 Wednesday
I finally left Napa headed to Quartzite, Arizona toto meet up with some friends. I drove down highway 121 to 80 to 12 & then to highway 5. I stopped a few times to get gas & something to eat. I made it to Lebec rest area in California.
There is a dump station going south bound and one going north bound.

December 12,2024 Thursday
I had forgotten about the time change so I was going to get to courtside too late to park. Charlie said it would be better if I found someplace out right now and then came in in the morning. I found a nice rest area about 10 miles out from courtside And stay the night there.

December 13,2024 Friday
I got up the next morning I got things together and headed to Quartzite.
I Arrived in Quartzite, Az met Shelly at the Stagecoach Restaurant for Chinese late lunch. Afterwards she showed me to our campsite in LTVA.

December 14,2024 Saturday
Shelly’s friend arrived finally. It was already dark so she parked next to me. I didn’t get to meet her. Well there’s always tomorrow.

I finally got to meet Andrea. She took her rig and parked it on the other side of Shelly’s. She spent most of the day set it up. We all just hung out in our rigs for the rest of the day.
I drive downtown take a shower and go to Roadrunner grocery store .

December 16,2024 Monday
We had a dinner dinner at Shelly‘s 5th wheel. She cooked chili and cornbread. It was great being with friends and most of the day. Just kinda walking around and checking the area out and just kind of enjoying myself. It’s not really much to do here but it’s really nice and enjoyable

December 17,2024 Tuesday
It’s a bit nippy out side. Sherry and Dusty have a huge tent setup. We all took our chairs and went over to have movie night. Anderia brought some cookies.
It was definitely a lot of fun.

December 18,2024 Wednesday
Today was afternoon music at the fire pit. There were lots of people that showed up lots of people playing guitars and other instruments. We even had a guy on the drums. It was so delightful. Everybody just had a big huge jam session. We stayed until dark and then headed back to our perspective areas.

Andrea cooked spaghetti and so we all went over to her spot and had spaghetti and I took some wine over so we had spaghetti and wine for dinner that night. What great company my new friends are they’re such wonderful people.

I Left the ladies in Quartzite, Az LTVA
Arrived in Apache Junction
Just about the time I drove into Apache Junction. I stopped at this place to get propane and found I had broken part underneath the motorhome. It was sticking out, so I used a bungee cord to hold it up with and went to find a place to get it repaired.
I made appointment for the 9th of January at 9am. It’s not my ideal time as I was hoping to leave by the 2-3 of January.
I Spent the night across from Icy’s mobile home park in Denny’s parking lot.

December 21,2024 Saturday
Icy and Dave came over to meet me in the morning and we had breakfast at Denny’s and then we all went over to the park so I could register and set up sunflower at Icy’s mobile home park. I took a few items that I would need & stuck them in the back of their car and we headed to their house. It was great to see them both.
I was glad they didn’t want to do much which are we just kind of rested that day. Watched a bit of TV.

December 22,2024 Sunday
Icy, and I went to Safeway and Walmart to pick up some things that I needed to make buttermilk pies with they had asked me if I would make some for them.
We return back to their house, put the groceries away and just kinda rested for the rest of the day watching TV. I was happy that the days were going to be easy and not filled with a bunch of stuff.

Today I made buttermilk pies for Dave and icy and I was surprised how much they really enjoyed them. They’re not hard to make they just take time to cook. We spent the evening talking and visiting and I set up the presents for the family. It was a nice relaxing day

We met with Diana & Tim for Christmas Eve Celebration at stellar 66 Chinese restaurant for Christmas Eve meal we exchange presents visited had a good time. The table next to us had ordered duck and the guy came out and made flaming duck. It was very interesting to watch after a few hours. We decided to head back to ourhomes, said our goodbyes and drove

December 25,2024 Wednesday
Today is Christmas. We got up this morning and had coffee and visited for a while and then opened presents. Jim bought me a new guitar always isn’t that great it’s so nice.
We spent most of the day, just kinda hanging out watching TV. Dave made us a wonderful meal for dinner later that afternoon. I’m headed to bed early as I was tired. Watched a few movies on my iPad and then went to sleep.

I borrowed Dave and Icy’ car and drove to the Music store so I could get it. I ended up buying a electric tune so I could do it myself. Then I drove to Walmart to check out some things got a couple music books and headed back to Dave and Icy’s. We had dinner watch TV and I headed to bed

December 27,2024 Friday
Diane has made an appointment for us to go and get our nails done but she called and said that she couldn’t make it so she called and canceled hers, but we went ahead and had ours done. I needed my toenails done really bad as they were starting to get wrong and bothering me Afterwards icy and I went to Safeway. I picked up some cash at the bank there. Afterwards we headed home didn’t do much just watched a little TV and went to bed later that evening.

I borrowed Dave and Icy’s car again and I drove to Kohl’s to pick up some pajamas and went over to the guitar shop picked up a guitar strap and another music book, then I drove home. We hang out for a while and watch TV visited. Played with jazz the dog then headed to bed.

We got up this morning. Had a coffee visited for a while and then decided to go out and have dinner at Taco Grio. Your food was really good sat and visited for a while. The atmosphere was wonderful and we headed back to the house. Watched a bit of TV then headed to bed.

It may seem like it’s kind of boring, but I’m telling you I’ve been able to rest up I like lazy days and I like days you go but sometimes I just like to stop and take in the sites so today we just kind of hung out at Dave and Icy’s Watch TV didn’t really do much.

Today we decided to go to Mickey D’s that’s not McDonald’s. It’s really another restaurant and it’s really good food so we had lunch out there went for a small short drive and then headed back to the house. Dave always go to bed about eight at night. So it left Icy and I to celebrate! Yes, today was New Year’s Eve. I had bought a bottle of eggnog and brandy mixed so we had our eggnog and Brandi drink for the New Year’s. Watched the New Year’s celebration on TV. Icy and I enjoy the hype of the new coming year and after it was all over, I went to bed.

Not really much going on today just kind of relaxed took it easy. We did go out to lunch Dan. I forgot to write down the place. Oh well spent the evening talking about all times and watching a little TV. Practice a little on the guitar. I’m still not very good. Will never play in front of somebody if I don’t get better. Later that night I headed to bed.

Got up this morning I got my coffee, sat back down and tried to book Riverbend for my October adventure. I’m still at Icys’s house trying to wait for my appointment to get that bar underneath sunflower fixed. I was hoping to leave today or tomorrow, but that’s not the case first things first I still have the appointment on the ninth so hopefully I’ll be able to get out of here by then
My sister and her husband are so gracious. I told him I could go and stay in sunflower, but they said “no don’t worry about it, you’re not a bother” I just feel more comfortable in Sunflower 🌻 as today was the second I got my paycheck so I paid my bills. Then later that night went to bed.

Not really a lot going on today I visited Dave made meatloaf my favorite! Dave even fixed me a couple little care packages for the road oh that’s gonna be good! We just kinda goofed around. I tinkled with the guitar again today. I’m still not very good. Having a hard time finding chords and switching fast.

Nothing really eventful. Just hung out at icy and Dave’s house. I’m still trying to get faster on the guitar and learn where the cords are. Definitely won’t play in front of somebody.
Wild race his car and went to a couple places trying to find a better guitar strap.
Later that evening we did as usual watched a little TV and that I headed to bed. Dave was always in bed by 8 o’clock, so I think I see enjoys the company for a while.

This morning we got up and had coffee and talked a little bit. Decided we were going to go to Goldfield, Ghost Town and ride the train and look around a bit. The train is something if you’re ever out that way in Apache Junction, you should look up the place and go at least once in your lifetime. Riding the train was really a lot of fun. I have never done that. I’ve been to Goldfieds Ghost Town before but never written the train. We left in a couple shops, but there wasn’t anything that I couldn’t live without so we headed back to towards home. We were going to go and have lunch at Oregon pizza now if you ever get to Mesa area or Pizza is really interesting place to go your order pizza or a salad and you sit down at the table and you get organ music the whole time you’re there it’s actually a lot of fun
We decided that we weren’t really hungry for pizza so we stopped at Dirtwater Family diner. On the way back the food was excellent. It’s right there off of Apache Trail. I don’t really know if the address.
Afterwards, we headed back to the house it was late so I was tired, so I went ahead and headed to bed

I’m still at my sister‘s house got up this morning and had my coffee visited with Dave out on the porch. Came back inside. Watched a little TV with Icy. Then I went to my room played the guitar. At least I tried to. Afterwards I went back out in the living room. had dinner with them and watched a little television with Icy before going to bed that evening.

This morning night, she said something about she wanted to go out to the five dollar movie which was on Tuesdays. But after a while, she changed her mind so we went to taco Tuesday at Taco Giro the food there was absolutely wonderful. I so enjoyed it. I got myself a black Russian couldn’t hardly drink all of it because it was so strong. I finished it up for me thank goodness then we went back home and as usual watched a little TV. I sat on the porch with Dave for a while and then went back inside. We had dinner which was definitely leftovers and then I headed to bed.

Today I was busy taking most of my stuff back to my RV. I left a little bit just enough to get me by if they needed to keep the RV for a couple days. But most of the stuff I took down to sunflower and put away, emptied her tanks made sure she was full of water and took out all the garbage. Then I drove over to the RV place because 9 o’clock was off priority for me and I wanted to be sure that I didn’t oversleep so I spent the nigh in their parking lot.

I took Sunflower in for her Repair this morning. They had to fabricate part so it was a little bit more expensive than what I was hoping but at least it’s fixed. I drove back to Dave and Isaac’s house to pick up what little things that I left just in case they took them overnight to fix Sunflower.
I got to visited with Icy for a bit, picked up my rest of my clothes, stopped at the store for groceries. I called Diane because I wanted to go and visit her before I left, but she said she was sick and she didn’t want me to come over and possibly get it so I headed to Quartzsite.
There were major repairs on the road going from Phoenix to Quartzsite took me an extra hour and a half to two hours to get there got in about dusk. Wasn’t sure if I’d be able to find my spot next to the girls or not but I did park sunflower Didn’t set anything up..
Shelly was coming in from Hawaii and Andrea was picking her up and Phoenix at Starer Harbor. I told them about the road condition so they would be aware of it.
I was so tired from the drive I just headed to bed. Tomorrow is another day.

We got a new neighbor, Lisa. Andrea made Apple coffee cake so we all went over to her place and had coffee cake. & coffee. It was wonderful to get together and meet Lisa.
I tell you, these girls are really wonderful. I’m so glad I ran into them.
I heard that there were live Camels 🐪 in Quartzite this week for the tent show. You can even take a camel ride.

It was just a typical lazy day. Everybody just came kinda hung out in there coach. I tried to do a little straightening up to get cleaned up and put away. Just kind of hung out listen to music play Little guitar trying to read my book.

I noticed my battery was down a bit, so I ran the generator for a while and started the engine for a while. I built up the battery again.
Didn’t really go or do anything just kinda hung out outside for a bit until it got too cold for me and then I came inside and turn the engine on and heated it up a bit inside for a little bit play the guitar and just kinda mellowed out

Just a lazy day. Not much really going on. It’s still kind of cool outside. The wind is really blowing so I am hanging inside just watching a movie reading my book and settling on the guitar a bit.

There was music over at Dusty‘s place but I didn’t go. I’d forgotten about it. I got so interested in a movie that I completely slipped my mind. Lisa said she went. Shelly had another commitment. Andrea stayed in her coach. She was out to walk the dogs but that’s the only time I saw her.
We scheduled a run to Parker for the next day.
Darn I broke my little latch to the bathroom door now I have to go looking for one.

Today we went to Parker, Az to Walmart and Safeway. The trip took us about an hour there and an hour back more or less. I picked up some of the things that I needed, but couldn’t find some of them Shelly I found the other items I needed in Safeway so she purchased them for me. That was nice. She wouldn’t take any money for it so I stuck some cash in her truck to help with the price of the items and the price of gas. There are four of us that went to Parker to go to Walmart and Safeway to pick up some groceries. Shelly drove and took all of us to Parker, Az.
I checked Walmart for my little lunch, but they didn’t have any so I’m still on the hunt for one. I’ll find one eventually.
We got back to the campsite and everybody went to their perspective areas

January 17,2025 Friday
This morning we headed over to do Laundry see if we can beat the rush… 8am, but not getting up at the buttcrack of dawn… even that early the place was busy. I got my shower and did my laundry.
We swung by the bank a non fee atm… Andrea got some money she needed.
The water place was really busy,. So we went back to camp. Andrea and Shelley and Lisa went back later and filled up our water containers
There was a solar seminar at Solar Bill’s , but we decided to Pass on the Solar Seminar…3 hours is a long sit if nobody was buying…
Shall we headed back to camp?
I used the time to put things away, rearrange my closets and just kind of enjoy the afternoon.

This morning I caught Shelley outside flying a kite. It was a lot of fun just watching her. She got it going a few times and it took a nose dive a few times, but basically I’m sure she had fun. I sure did watching her.
Today we e are invited to Birthday pizza and pool Sat night at Silly Al’s … everyone buys their own pizza. Andrea stayed in camp so she could bake. She said she needed ice cream so we plan to pick it up after the pizza party. It was so much fun so many people showed up. A couple people played pool. I got the pizza that I have been craving for a while. We stayed about 3-4 hours and then headed back to camp . After a while, we all headed over to Dusty‘s area and had cake and ice cream and celebrated his birthday again. Once everything was all over with we headed back to the campsite to our perspective areas.

Every one around us joined in for baked potato bar across the way at Jamie’s.. I took over chips & salsa . The people who were there were great. There’s so many nice people out here we all sat around and visited and talked and once I got a little too cold, I headed back to sunflower to get warm.
I certainly don’t remember being this cold last year when I was here it seemed like it was warmer and I was outside more days than I am this year. Maybe next year will be better.

Today was Martin Luther King day. Lisa went to town to the check on her package but once she got there, She realized that it was a holiday because the post office place was closed. She checked all of us and then she came back to camp. There’s not really much going on today. So I main just kind of hung visited a bit, practice on the guitar and was about it.

This morning, I got myself up and dressed and went into town to get a shower and your laundry. I didn’t see Kathy B, but her rig Champ was in the parking lot when I got ready to leave. So later that evening, I text her and let her know that I saw her Rig in the parking lot. . I went across the street and picked up the three groceries. Then I have a back to camp. There was Music across the way at Dusty‘s but I was just too tired to go over.

Spent the day outside until it got too cool that I couldn’t handle it then I came inside. I straightened up sunflower a bit, did a little playing on the guitar. No, I’m still not very good. I’m still having a hard time switching fast from cord to cord, but I’ll get it eventually.
I watched a couple movies on my iPad. it got dark so I went to bed.

This morning I got up and went to town. I got my shower. Did my laundry.
I decided that I was gonna go to Parker for groceries. it was a nice drive. I’m my way back I stopped by Yo Jolly there in Quartzite, to see people from the Roadtrek group, but I couldn’t find them. I text my friends and Cab to see if they needed me to pick up anything. Nobody needed anything so I went ahead got gas for the van and then headed back to camp.
By the time I got back to camp, it had gotten late. I just had time to set up before it got dark.

Shelly’s back east friends came today.
We got three new groups of people. She’s been waiting on them for a while.
“Finduscamping” was the logo on one of the front of one of the 5th wheels. They were affiliated with Open Roads, it’s an app you can get on your phone, which will help you get cheaper diesel on the road. Apparently it works really well.
I got to meet the three couples, really nice people. But then again I can’t say I haven’t met anybody out here that I didn’t like. Everybody is so nice and so friendly.

Shelley set up a Music 🎶 session, followed by a pot luck. The “Finduscamping” & Open Roads group brought s’mores for everybody to enjoy. I love being able to go and listen to the music. It’s wonderful the potluck and the s’mores were really great too. The “Finduscamping” group is leaving tomorrow morning. It’s been really great having them here.

I Met Teresa today she has a silver 210 Roadtrek, she’s a friend of Shelley’s.
I didn’t stay long. I had went over to give Shelley some money and then visited for a bit then headed back to sunflower to keep warm. I did sit outside for a while today. It was warmer in the afternoon, but by the time the sun started to head down it started to get cool again so I headed in for the night.

Not really much going on today I decided that I was gonna just drive around and check things out. There’s so many different colored rigs around here. Some people have painted theirs and made them actually gorgeous looking some arejust regular. There are so many different types of people that’s it’s amazing what the Desert brings together.
I did dump my tanks and get water and dump the garbage.
Later that night, I visited with Shelly and Lisa for a bit and then headed to bed.

As I was driving throughout the area I have noticed a lot of painted RV’s . Some are absolutely beautiful. Once I got back I just sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather. I Played a little bit on the guitar trying to get myself playing again. I read my book for a while made myself dinner. By this time it was getting late so I headed in watched a movie then headed to bed.

This morning was kind of a lazy day trying to catch up on my writings played a little guitar sat outside for a while when it was nice. My back storage compartment was a disaster so I tried straightening it up the best I could trying to put things where they were supposed to be. This morning I got up, got a little coffee. I was going to have a busy morning. I had to go and get water fill my tank. Throw my garbage dump the tanks. On my way out this little dog ran in front of me. I pulled over to see if I could catch him/her. One of the workers from the LTVA Laposa South building came out to help me. We couldn’t catch the dog it was very shy, so I thought I’ll go inside and see if I have a snack. Once I open the car door, the little dog jumped in, and I was able to catch her so the worker from LTVA should he call the police and have them picked her up? They’ll hold her for 24 hours. I went ahead and took pictures and posted it on courtside chatter, hoping to find the owner . It wasn’t very long and the owner was found, and a little dog was picked up and safe. Her name was Bambi and the owner was so grateful that somebody had found her. I was just concerned that she might get ran over.
I still had to go to the laundromat do my laundry take a shower. I did needed to go to the store just to pick up a few items. I went ran into some friends they were heading to the SWRA Campsite. After I was done I followed the email directions and then head towards the secret camp of SWRV.
I got lost once, but I did find my way there. Once I got there, I’ve looked for a spot to park. I didn’t want to be too far away from the meet up fire pit as I wanted to be able to make it there on my own without many problems from my darn knee.
I found a spot in Park just relax the rest of the night. It was starting to get late already. I didn’t get to the meet up spot until around 3 o’clock. I put my groceries away and I cleaned up a bit and straightened out sunflower then I headed to bed.

I got up this morning and went over for coffee visited for a while. Some other girls then kind of went back to sunflower sat outside for a while. I ended up going back over for the fire. Bunch of girls were over there visiting one of the ladies told us about the international space station going to pass over us so we were all looking up to the sky and trying to find it it was really hard to find but finally got to see it Later that afternoon I went back to sunflower and headed to bed headed to bed.

February 02,2025 Sunday
I put my cones out so nobody would take my spot while I was gone. I drove around the camp sites and picked up everybody’s trash and water bottles if they need them filled headed out to Highway 95 and drove on towards town. I dropped the trash off and filled up the water bottles and headed to town too get some items that I needed the store. I went to didn’t have what I wanted so then I stopped at the bead shop and they were closed so I was already quite a ways out of town and decided that I might as well just go to Parker and go to Walmart there and pick up what I needed so that’s what I did. I drove all the way out to Parker and went to Safeway picked up my groceries and then went over to Walmart and picked up my embroidery thread that I needed by the time I got done and headed back it was getting kind of late.
I saw three cop cars at different times heading to Parker when I was coming back with their sirens on and their lights. They were at least five minutes apart from each other and then after that, I saw an ambulance with lights on running through heading to Parker not sure what all that was about.
I didn’t get back to the campsite until around four or 5 o’clock. I was tired. I was exhausted. I just parked and just crashed.

February 03, 2025 Monday
Today was the first day of the meet up everybody went over to the fire circle pit and we had our coffee over there and visited and talked, JennHawke opened up with a speech and told us what the events were for that week. She gave us all tags so we could keep track of things and the tags had our names on them so it would be easy for us to know who was who.
I got to see Kathy B and Cindy B. It was so good to see them. It had been a while.
Afterwards I had a back to sunflower and sit outside having my lunch and just enjoying the cool air in the shade.
I went back over to the fire circle that evening and visit with everybody and enjoy the warm fire afterwards I had back to the camp. The path was so dark. I could hardly find my way.

February 04,2025 Tuesday
This morning, I decided I was gonna light up that path so it wouldn’t be so hard to find. I pulled out my string lights and hook them up and put them on two different path so Lou Ann & I could find our way. LouAnn was my neighbor and she was having a hard time getting back last night too. I went over to share gadgets and shared a lamp that I liked that ran on batteries, solar power, and you could recharge from electrical outlet. It was a hit. There was so many other items that people brought over. It was amazing such great fun being able to share the things that we thought we couldn’t do without.
I must admit this one lady bought her little doggie and I fell in love with Him, his name was Rue. But then again I’m a little bit partial to long haired Chihuahuas.
Later that evening I went back over for the fire in the afternoon around six to visit with everybody made a lot of new friends. Later I headed back to Sunflower. Oh my gosh the lights sure did helped in finding the path back..

This morning was very eventful for me that sent me a picture of the car tags for the new Nissan so I paid car taxes this morning in some bills and straightened up a little bit inside sunflower. Today was picture day so I had to be ready by three to get over there by the fire pit so we could all have our picture done. It was a lot of fun. Then I went back to Sunflower.
Later that afternoon, I went back over to the fire pit for the afternoon fire session lotta visiting a lot of talking. I took snacks over the girls enjoyed them after it started to get pretty dark. I headed back to sunflower for the evening.

The morning was full of laughter and talk at the coffee session in the morning a lot of things going on, but I didn’t participate in them. I wey back later for the dinner, of the Baked Potato bar. I took Sandy R famous chicken, celery curry salad. I do think it was a hit as I had very little to take home. Later that evening after the fire side chat, I headed back to sunflower for the evening.

Today was the last official day of the meet up. It has been absolutely wonderful being with these ladies. What a great and wonderful group they are I’ve learned so much and they’ve all kind of watched out for me that I didn’t fall. I really appreciate that..
I went over after lunch. We sat around and visited for a while with a bunch of the ladies. Later I came back to sunflower to relaxed for a bit. I then went over for the fire pit in the afternoon. We have definitely had a wonderful time out here in the desert. I have learned so much from all these women.
After it got dark and got a little bit cool I went ahead and headed back to sunflower for the evening.

February 08,2024 Saturday
I packed up all my stuff and hated to leave the campsite with all the girls. It was so much fun. I had it towards Lapaz south LTVA to dump trash got my tanks and get freshwater then I headed to town. I wanted to check out Solar Bill and see what their prices were for solar panels. I was in luck they were having a sale so I’m getting solar panels on Monday I just hope it’s what I expect.
I text Rae & her sister, Sandy to see if I could come today early because I needed to be closer to town on Sunday night in order to make sure I made it there by 11 o’clock on Monday.
It was great seeing them. I had only spoke to them over the phone and through messenger and stuff, but I finally got to meet them. These are friends that I kind of met when I was down at Icy’s place in Apache Junction.. I had only just seen them and waved to them.
We sat outside for a while until it got cool and I’m headed in doors. It was a nice visit. I got to find out little bits and pieces about them.
I see pictures from some of the SWRV girls that stayed at the campsite that they got to see a good year lump and saw the Starlink Satellite being launched.
I headed to bed cause I was tired and told Rea and SANDY I would see them in the morning

This morning, I got up and got my coffee and sitting outside, enjoying the cool air had to change my solar panels around so that my daiquiris could build up power. The sun really isn’t out too good this morning. It’s kind of covered up and hiding from everybody. Rae and I got up and went out to have lunch. SANDY didn’t wanna go so it was just the two of us we went to. For lunch. I had a breakfast it was really good. I loved it. Lotta fun headed back to their campsite and decided I should head out so I could get a shower and do my laundry get propane. I was supposed to get gas, but I forgot it got late and I just found a place to park and headed to bed

February 10 2025 Monday
Got up early and headed down to solar bills so I could get my solar panels on ran into Lucille down here. She was getting something done too. It was good to see her.
Ray saw me pull in so she pulled in just to say hello. They found a problem with my heater. Somebody had put a screw through the hose so I had to call Bill Maul to come, check it out and see if he could fix it. Definitely a problem I won’t be able to use my heater otherwise. I called Bill and he came out and looked at the heater about 1pm. He said he could fix it so he worked on it while they were finishing up the solar panels by the time they were done with the solar panels, Bill still haven’t finished with the heater so he asked if I could stay the night there because it was gonna be late and dark by the time he was done and I wouldn’t be able to see to get back to my friends. They said it was all right, so they actually hooked me up with electricity which was really nice. Bill finally finished up the heater around 6:30 or 7pm. He had worked so long and so hard on it and the cost was a lot less than what I thought it was gonna be $230 for all that work. He had to pull the unit get parts and replace all the hoses as they were rotting out. After he left, I headed for bed watched a couple movie on my iPad and then went to sleep.

I got up this morning a lot earlier than I usually do packed everything up unplugged thank everybody and headed out. I checked the garage to see if they needed anything but Shelley and Lisa said they were fine. I found my parking spot, I pulled in set up camp went over and said hello to Shelly I took the dogs a treat and then I headed back to sunflower after all the going on I was kind of exhausted. Spent the rest of the afternoon just resting. I’m watching movies.

Can I get a new day beautiful outside? My solar panels on the roof are working great my solar panels for my Jackery are working wonderful.
Got up this morning had my coffee just kinda taking it easy getting ready for life to happen. I looked up a few guitar books online wrote down some cords. Try to practice a little bit. I’m getting a little better, but I’m not perfect yet but I’m working on it.
They’re gonna to have music today about 3:00pm over by Dusty‘s place.
I decided I was gonna make sandwiches and take them and cookies over so everybody could have like a little snack .
The music was absolutely wonderful. I always enjoy listening after I return back to the motorhome. I just kind of took it easy. Look some stuff up online checking out some cords. I’m still trying to learn to play my guitar, but I definitely won’t play on front of people.

Got up early this morning just about the time the sun was coming up. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful. You couldn’t have asked for a better one. I was cold so I went back and laid down for a while actually fell asleep. I couldn’t believe I didn’t get up until around eight.
It’s been really great being back here at LaPosa South LTVA with Shelley and Lisa.
I’m pretty much alone, but I’m not really alone.

This morning I got up got my coffee put things away picked up stuff and headed to town. I was definitely determined to get my shower and get things done. I didn’t have enough clothes to do wash. Once my shower was over. I headed across the street to the store to pick up some milk. Rae saw me over there and she came over and we talked for a few minutes and then I went in the store and picked up my milk. I texted the girls to see if they needed anything and neither one said they needed something so I headed back to camp. Spent the evening putting things away and watching a movie then I headed to bed.

This morning when I got up, I took Valentine‘s I had picked up over to Shelley Andrea and Lisa. It was so nice to be able to give them something. Andrea said she didn’t need anything so she wouldn’t take her valentine I don’t know what’s going on with her.
I got a message from Sarah. Apparently Duffy finally popped the question so they are officially engaged now.
I shut my lights out, sat outside for a bit until It got cold and then headed inside watch a movie and then headed to bed.

Today would be a lazy day. I had bought some squash at the store so I made squash for lunch /dinner. Oh my gosh it was good. I watched a movie on the iPad, play a few hours on the guitar for a while. I Rested a bit and then headed over to listen to music with the rest of our group of friends. Once it got cold and dark I headed back to Sunflower for the night.

This morning Shelly, Lisa and I decided to go to Parker. We stopped at Safeway picked up a few items and then went over to Walmart. I was looking for my bill box but they didn’t have it Today would’ve been my sister Patti’s 75th birthday. I sure do miss her..
when we return back to the campsite, I just kinda head out in Sunflower, putting things away. I went outside for a while,sat in sun. Once it got too cold I came back in for the evening.

Went to do laundry and get a shower . Afterwards I went to get milk. Then I headed to look for a new bill box. Thank goodness I found one. Heading back to get water & dump I got a text from my nice.
Yvonne, my niece had texted me to let me know that her grandson Octavian passed away. He was only four years old. I don’t know why but it sure has hurt my heart a lot. I’m having a hard time getting back to normal.
I didn’t even dump or get water. I just went back to camp. Today was Music day, I just didn’t feel like being around anybody, so I missed it. I was so upset most of the evening I couldn’t hardly do anything.

Today wasn’t much better. I called Yvonne again and talk to her. Talk to my daughter yesterday. I’m just beside myself. I know this is temporary and it’ll pass, but my heart hurts so much for his parents and his grandparents. I basically spent the day inside cleaning a bit, put out some lights and watching a few movies.

Spent the morning looking for my hearing aid batteries did a little bit of straightening up, used the vacuum cleaner to clean up the floor a bit went through things looking for stuff to give away. I Spend a little time playing the guitar and practicing switching chords. I spent a little time outside as the weather was nice but when it colder, I came inside. I watched a movie and headed to bed.

Went to dump and get water and throw trash. I met John at the water station. He said he was from Canada. We talked for a few minutes. He seemed very nice. I hope he has a great trip.
I got back to the campsite, set up and waiting for the jamming session.
🎶🎶🎶 jammin Saturday 3pm by Harley and Ramona’s. The plan is to jam for the big truckers over there. It was decided to do it during the day so everyone can stay warm. There will be a shaded area to set up in. 🎶🎶🎤🎶🎶🎶
Of course my stomach would be bothering me so I couldn’t go.
I got bad news today that my cousin isn’t doing too well. It just seems like the beginning of this year has been really bad.I’ve lost 3 family members already. I suppose I should be aware that it’s gonna happen simply because of my age.

When I got up this morning, I noticed that Lisa had turned her trailer around facing me. Oh how nice. Of course she had joined the group long time ago but it’s nice to see her once in awhile outside now.
I spent most of the day looking for my hearing aid batteries. I know I had a bunch, but I can’t find them anywhere. I remember I put them away so I could find them again easily. Well that’s the way my 70+ year-old was, hiding them from myself. LoL … I really shouldn’t be surprised because of all the things that have happened in these last few weeks. I guess tomorrow it’s a run to Parker. Oh well that’s the way it goes. It’s getting late so I guess I’m going to head to bed

I got up this morning. Had my coffee as usual decided I was gonna head to town. I’d look for hearing aid batteries that maybe I might have to go to Parker drove to a couple of stores and finally found them.
I Did a garbage run. I dumped my tanks and filled my tank up with water then I headed back to the campsite reset up camp again by this time it had gotten a bit dark outside, so I headed to bed.

I took over a curry, chicken celery, salad the cheese and chopped up the onion and headed over to Desi and Sharon‘s place. It was so good to be able to see them for the last time. The music was wonderful. The place was jumping. We always have such a good time Listening to music once it got dark. I headed home to Sunflower and headed for bed.
Tomorrow I’m leaving so it’s going to be a busy morning.

I really need to start heading home so I packed up Sunflower, said my goodbyes and headed out. I headed towards Las Vegas to see Jannet & Chris. I ended up getting to Henderson and stayed at the railroad casino overnight.

I got up this morning and I text Chris that I should be there in about half an hour to 45 minutes. Stopped and got gas before I headed over to the house once I got there we visited for a while. I took a shower Jannet fixed tacos for us for Dinner. We visited and watched a little TV. Jannet had painted a beautiful picture of Sunflower. I so appreciate the work she put into this painting. When it got late I headed to sunflower for the night.

I got up this morning and went into the house. Had coffee with Jannet. Chris had gone to work for a couple hours and would be back around 11 or so. I waited for him before I headed out. I was heading to my cousin’s house in Modesto, California. I decided I was gonna check out Zzyzx Road off of Highway 15. I had heard about it but never had the chance to check it out. It was not really bad. The road extended out for quite a while and then turned into a dirt road then after a bit, it turned back into a paved road it took me out to Sulphur Springs. There were bathrooms out there, and you could walk around, have a picnic, but I think the most interesting part was the drive and seeing all the dry water beds. The view was absolutely beautiful against the mountains. I got back on the highway and I drove pretty far after that . I got to a rest area just before Barstow and spent the night there.

Well, it didn’t get cold last night. I got up this morning fix some coffee sat around for a few minutes trying to get my bearings and headed to Modesto California. I got pretty close but it started to get late so I pulled over in a rush area about 20-25 miles from my cousin’s house. Here I’m sitting trying to catch up with my travels . Starting to get late, so I’m going to head to bed now.

Visited with my cousin Suzette & the family for a few hours. Then on to Oakdale to my cousins DeDe and her family there. It’s always so great to be able to visit with my family and I’m sure glad that they understand my means of travel.

Up and on to the delta in Isleton to see my friend Suzi. We got to visit for a while and then had pizza for lunch. Suzie had to work so I spent some time out in sunflower just resting. I stayed the night planning leaving for the rest of my trip in the morning.

I was up early this morning and on my way home. Suzie works from home and had some online meetings scheduled so I just left her a thank you card and had it off.
I stopped and got gas at Costco. Then went ahead and went home, but I picked up Anthony and we went and got propane and washed sunflower before putting her in the driveway.
I’m officially home now thank goodness.

March 05 2025
Well, I do believe I should’ve stayed gone this afternoon for dinner. I accidentally hit a pan of hot water that was on the stove and burnt my right foot with second and third-degree burns so now I’m definitely got my wings clipped or at least my feet clipped. It’s too high for me to drive so I guess I’ll be home for a while trying to heal up.
It has been great having all of you along with me in my travels. Thanks so much for following. I’ll catch up with you my next trip.
