September 04, 2025 Thursday
Day 9

I got up this morning and got my coffee, of course. I said my goodbyes to my family and headed down 5 towards Roseburg stop the Costco there got some gas and went onto planet fitness and got my shower. Then I headed back on 5 going north heading towards Reedsport viva 138 to 38 and arriving in Reedsport, Oregon taking Highway 101 N.

I finally found the lagoon campground – Oregon dunes near the town of Westlake, Oregon

September 05, 2025 Friday 

Day 10

The Campground here belongs to the US forest department. It’s located not far from the coast.

My campsite is nice it’s a pull through. There’s not a lot of sun on this campsite, but it’s near the garbage dump and it has water access. Basically it’s no hook ups dry Camping. It’s kind of close to site number 23 which my friends are going to be in later on.

Cell phone service is sporadic. I have one bar and I have Verizon Wireless. You can get phone calls that may drop or text messages that won’t go through.

My three friends won’t be here until Saturday so I just kinda hung out and enjoyed my quiet time reading my book and catching up on my writing.

It was lightning last night early and early this morning. There were a few drops on my window after a while. It turned nice and about 4 PM. I could feel a few drops so I headed inside for the night.

September 06, 2025 Saturday 

Day 11

I got up this morning. Had my coffee was sitting outside. I have this one be that just can’t leave me alone. I’m just wishing he will go home today. I’m waiting for Susan and Satyavati to come. I was just sitting there reading and noticed this camper had parked not too far away. I’m sure I know who that is. It wasn’t long before Joyce came walking up. It was so good to see her. She said that Satyavati wasn’t going to come until Sunday and that Susan B. had cut her hand so didn’t think she was going to make it. 

We visited for a while and she went back to her unit to set up, waited a bit and then walked over and we visit for a little while longer starting to get kind of cold so I decided to go back to mine and have inside to keep warm. 

September 07, 2025 Sunday 

Day 12A

Today I’ll have to leave here and go to my next campground. We decided we were going to have lunch in Florence so we all met at a restaurant called Best Thai food. Joyce me and Satyavati . The food was great. I’ve never eaten Thai food before, but it was really good after lunch was over with. I had it on to my next Campground.

These campsites belong to the US Forest department. 

The sites are nice spread out. They have trees and shrubs in between them so there’s definitely a lot of privacy. The space I have as I pull through. It’s quite nice but across the way from me as another Spot so I believe that one was a little too close however, my friends will be in that so it won’t be so bad for me. 

There’s really no amenities to speak of. There’s a bathroom house around the corner from me a little ways and then in the next camping area down after leaving this park there’s another area called

There’s a shower room there and as long as you’re staying in a forest camping site you’re allowed to use the facilities there ( that’s what I was told by one of the Rangers here at the park) . The shower room is located just to the right of the campground and then to the right again there’s another area called Driftwood II. There’s a shower located there.
